Scurcola Marsicana, as we mentioned in the description, is an open-air museum, thanks to the many churches, palaces and fountains present. In addition to this, the Orsini castle should be noted, which is recovering in this period.

This castle is important because it represents one of the best medieval military structures existing in Abruzzo and central Italy. This is a structure that has been adapted several times to the new military techniques of the time.

Scurcola then houses some churches of great artistic beauty such as the church of S.S. Trinità, or the church of Santa Maria della Vittoria. Together with the churches we have some noble palaces that belonged to local patrician families, which are a true concentration of ancient and recent styles.

Finally, for archeology enthusiasts, we point out two sites very close to Scurcola, namely the archaeological site of the necropolis of Campi Palentini, where there are 30 tumulus tombs from the Iron Age and the archaeological site with the ruins of the former abbey of Santa Maria of Victory.
